Beijing Jiaotong University
Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU) was founded in 1896 as one of the three original Jiatong Universities in China. BJTU has established the Collaborative Innovation Centre for Rail Transit Safety, which is one of the first 14 collaborative centres selected by the Chinese government into the “National 2011 Projects”. In 2017, BJTU was selected into the ‘Double First-Class’ National Initiative.

BJTU enters the four major world university rankings, including THE World University Ranking and the Academic Ranking of World University for the first time, with the international ranking steadily improving. Three disciplines were ranked 1% in the ESI ranking, including Engineering ranked top 1.5‰. Ten disciplines were ranked top 500 in the Academic Ranking of World University by discipline, including Traffic and Transportation Engineering ranked 1st in China 2nd worldwide, Communication Engineering ranked 10th in China and 38th worldwide.
BJTU campus in Beijing has an area of nearly 67 hectares. In September 2015, the Weihai International Campus of BJTU in Weihai, Shandong Province came into service. All campuses have complete teaching and research facilities and beautiful environments.
